We only collect personal data when you actively provide it, or when it is generated automatically through your use of the website.
Data you provide directly:
- Name, email address, phone number — when submitting a contact or booking form
- Property address — when requesting an inspection
- Any other information entered in the message field
Data collected automatically:
- Pages viewed, time on site, traffic source — via Google Analytics 4
- Approximate location (country/region level) — via Google Analytics 4
- Device and browser type — via Google Analytics 4
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry or booking request
- To carry out the requested inspection service
- To deliver the completed inspection report
- To understand and improve how the website is used (analytics only)
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
4. Legal basis for processing
- Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to provide the requested inspection service
- Legitimate interests — for website analytics, to understand and improve the service
- Consent — for non-essential cookies (Google Analytics), which can be withdrawn at any time
5. Third parties
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics; data is anonymised
- Hostinger — web hosting; your data passes through their servers
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any other third parties.
6. Data retention
- Contact form submissions — up to 12 months
- Inspection reports — up to 3 years, as business records
- Analytics data — in accordance with Google Analytics default settings (14 months)
7. Cookies
We use one analytics cookie (Google Analytics) which requires your consent. You can accept or decline on your first visit to the site and change your preference at any time.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
